Uh oh. I don't even know what week it is! It is so true though. All the weeks seem to mesh into one. It is crazy how fast the time flies here! Well the language is going pretty awesome I have to say.
This Saturday, we get to teach the whole first lesson in Thai! The teachers haven't decided if we get to bring some vocab help or not if we get stuck. We practiced yesterday to teach about the 3rd and 4th part of Lesson 1. We were supposed to speak for 5 minutes without any help, with the vocab we knew. I spoke for the almost the whole 5 minutes.
Well, not this Wednesday, but on the next, we get the 12 other missionaries going to Thailand! It is going to be so cool. Finally a district that we will be able to get to know longer than 3 weeks! And since I am a zone leader, I get to meet them first which is so awesome! Being a zone leader has been pretty fun. I'd say everyone in the zone likes me. So Elder Nelson and I made a goal, for the whole rest of the time here at the MTC, we are not going to drink anything carbonated. It has been going really well and I can notice a difference.
I can not wait to get out to Thailand!!
Oh!! Caleb Bills is coming in tomorrow! He wasn't able to get his visa on time, which is disappointing, but it will be cool to see him! And last Thursday, we met an Elder Fast, who looks pretty much exactly like Will Ferrel, the actor. It was really funny and Elder Anderson, Elder Nelson, and I all got pictures with him for fun. It was great! Well, I love you all!! Love, Elder Ackerman

Week. . . I don't know. . .
Wow! What to say this week that hasn't already been talked about! Thai is still pretty awesome. It is SOOO nice not having to conjugate verbs! The language is so much fun though! My teachers are still amazing.
Well, three of the elders in our district, me, Elder Nelson, and Elder Anderson, got up at 3:30am to see off yet another set of missionaries! This will be the last time we'll do it though. We just get so attached to the elders, its so hard not to get up and see them off. Two of the elders were from Canada and one was from Utah. They are all serving in the Toronto Canada mission. Elder Ferland (one of the Canadians) is a professional violinist!! He is so amazing! He played at the last sunday devotional and he arranged the song himself. It was "I Know My Redeemer Lives." It almost brought tears to my eyes, it was so beautiful. It is so amazing that he is going to give 2 years to the Lord with that amount of talent. He is 25, the oldest allowed to go on a mission. He is so smart and so fun to get a long with. All the elders we meet are such awesome guys. We have had some sisters in our branch and they are really cool, but they left this morning.
On Wednesday we are getting 3 more elders and 4 more sisters. And since I have became a zone leader, I get to orient them on the MTC. Well, this morning I got to see Elder Sutherland get on the bus to the airport. His visa finally went through, so he is headed off to Brazil. It is way exciting! I can't wait for the 8 more weeks we have until we leave for Thailand. Oh and I met an Elder Politis from Sandy, UT who says he knows Caleb Bills and one of the sisters who left today (Sister Nelson) was from Sugar Land, TX and knew who the Harris's were! It is such a small world that we live in. It was way cool to find that out.
Oh and I have had the opportunity to bear my testimony in Thai to several people. It is short, but I will be learning more to say. Well, the district is getting along really well. We have a lot of fun together. In the next couple of weeks, I will send home a memory card with lots of pictures. Elder Anderson and I get along really well. He is a die-hard Chevy fan. It's so much fun to talk cars with him. Finally!, someone who understands me!
Ugh, I can't think of anything else to write on. When I get to Thailand, these letters will get longer for sure. I love and miss you all!! Elder Ackerman

Here comes week 3!
The days have been just flying by here in the MTC! It has been so much fun! Although this week has been a little crazy. The TE on Saturday gets us all stressed because we can't use notes to help us speak Thai and then we have to teach a 35 minute lesson without using Preach My Gospel. But it has been pretty fun nonetheless. We are learning more script this week and it has been fun to learn it and practice it! By this Friday, we should be able to read out of the Thai Book of Mormon and sing hymns from the Thai hymnbook! It will be so awesome!! Although in a few weeks we will have to be able to teach in Thai. That is going to be hard.
Well this past Saturday night, my companion and I were asked by the Branch President to become the new zone leaders, since the then current zone leaders (Elder Moses and Francom) were leaving on Monday. So of course we accepted the assignment and I think it will be a great blessing for us. And we will probably be ZL's for 4 to 5 weeks, at least until after the new Thai elders come in 4 weeks or so. But this week we get 8 new elders to the zone, so on Wednesday and Thursday I will be missing a couple hours of class to orient them. Should be fun!
Oh!! On last Thursday, Elder Pearson and Elder Hinckley {son of the late prophet of our church, President Gordon B. Hinckley} of the Seventy sat at our zone's table during lunch!!!!! It was so cool!!! The MTC President came and told us how blessed we were to have them sitting and visiting with us. They are such powerful men!
I do see Elder Sutherland and Neilson every so often. It's great to visit with them for a few minutes. Our zone and district have been getting along really well. This morning and Monday morning, we got up to see of the elders that came in the same time as us at around 4:30 am and this morning at 3:25 am. They are such awesome elders and they will do awesome in Texas, Oregon, and Wisconsin. I haven't figured out yet if getting up early to see them off was worth it, but it was still great. We all became friends really quick. But thank goodness that today is P-Day so we have time to regain our strength. The most looked forward time of the day everyday is gym. I have been working out every day since we got here and it feels awesome. Well I need to be done typing. My time is running out. I love you all and miss all of you! Keep us missionaries in your prayers! Elder Ackerman
