Here comes week 3!

The days have been just flying by here in the MTC! It has been so much fun! Although this week has been a little crazy. The TE on Saturday gets us all stressed because we can't use notes to help us speak Thai and then we have to teach a 35 minute lesson without using Preach My Gospel. But it has been pretty fun nonetheless. We are learning more script this week and it has been fun to learn it and practice it! By this Friday, we should be able to read out of the Thai Book of Mormon and sing hymns from the Thai hymnbook! It will be so awesome!! Although in a few weeks we will have to be able to teach in Thai. That is going to be hard.

Well this past Saturday night, my companion and I were asked by the Branch President to become the new zone leaders, since the then current zone leaders (Elder Moses and Francom) were leaving on Monday. So of course we accepted the assignment and I think it will be a great blessing for us. And we will probably be ZL's for 4 to 5 weeks, at least until after the new Thai elders come in 4 weeks or so. But this week we get 8 new elders to the zone, so on Wednesday and Thursday I will be missing a couple hours of class to orient them. Should be fun!

Oh!! On last Thursday, Elder Pearson and Elder Hinckley {son of the late prophet of our church, President Gordon B. Hinckley} of the Seventy sat at our zone's table during lunch!!!!! It was so cool!!! The MTC President came and told us how blessed we were to have them sitting and visiting with us. They are such powerful men!

I do see Elder Sutherland and Neilson every so often. It's great to visit with them for a few minutes. Our zone and district have been getting along really well. This morning and Monday morning, we got up to see of the elders that came in the same time as us at around 4:30 am and this morning at 3:25 am. They are such awesome elders and they will do awesome in Texas, Oregon, and Wisconsin. I haven't figured out yet if getting up early to see them off was worth it, but it was still great. We all became friends really quick. But thank goodness that today is P-Day so we have time to regain our strength. The most looked forward time of the day everyday is gym. I have been working out every day since we got here and it feels awesome. Well I need to be done typing. My time is running out. I love you all and miss all of you! Keep us missionaries in your prayers! Elder Ackerman
